The Drying Company is a local, family owned, Home Performance Contractor that has been serving Greater Richmond and Hampton Roads since 2002. Our Installation Professionals spend the most time on site with our homeowners’ installing products and solutions at their homes. Pay & Benefits

· Guaranteed hourly rate with bonus opportunities on every job. Current employees are earning on average between $20 - $40 per hour on this program after training. (Paid Training)

Expectations

· Represent the company in a professional manner.

· Demonstrate a clear knowledge of the products you install & be able to answer customer questions.

· Be able to remain calm under pressure and in stressful situations

· Diagnose and develop solutions to on-the-job obstacles in a timely manner

· Be familiar with all OSHA Safety requirements for applicable workspaces

Qualifications

· Insulation, carpentry, and/or construction experience preferred.

· Excellent customer service skills

· Active listening skills

· Organizational skills

· Attention to detail required.

· Clear verbal and written communication

· Must have a high level of integrity.

· Valid driver’s license & be approved to drive our vehicles.

· Pre-employment drug screen

Working conditions

· Travel between job sites and to office, in company vehicle.

· Must be comfortable in small, dark, and damp areas.

· Able to handle weather conditions based on the season.

Physical Requirements

· Carrying, climbing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking.

How does it work? Your morning starts at our office in Toano, VA. You’ll arrive on site and receive your work orders for the day. This will be the job(s) you will be installing, the materials you will need, and the details of the project. You will load your truck for the day and set off to the client’s home. As an installation professional you will arrive on site and introduce yourself to the homeowner. You’ll review the project with them, answer any questions and set to work. You’ll check in with the homeowner halfway through the job to give them an update on the progress and see if they have any more questions. Once the installation is complete, you will take photos of the work for the client’s records and ours and ensure the job site is clean, free of debris and nails, and your truck is neatly packed. You will do a final check in with the homeowner, show them the work completed and ensure they are happy with the job, so if any touch ups are needed, we can complete them right then and there.

The Drying Company serves homeowners from Greater Richmond through Williamsburg and into Virginia Beach, VA and currently has 30+ installation professionals installing solutions for our homeowners every day (Monday – Friday). Knowledge is a key value in our business. Our Production Team gathers every Monday Morning at our Office in Toano, VA.
