Sylvia joined The Drying Co team in 2015. She began as the Assistant Office Manager and moved into our Production Department in 2018 as the Scheduling Manager.
Prior to joining The Drying Co. team, Sylvia worked for an HVAC company in Accounts Receivable and Scheduling. Since joining the team, she has earned her Associate’s Degree in Accounting and is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Sylvia’s role includes reviewing jobs and scheduling them with homeowners. She also works closely with the Foreman and Installers to review projects, prevent obstacles, and overcome challenges on the job. One of her favorite things about her job is her interactions with customers. She enjoys listening to their concerns and resolving them. Being able to work proactively and resolve concerns makes her extremely proud to work here.
Sylvia chose to work at The Drying Co. because of the environment and the closeness employees have with each other. She says “We are not just a team we are a family! This is why I stay and will continue to!” She says her personal development and career growth has been facilitated in every way possible. “They are not afraid to allow you to be creative. In 4 years, I've held 3 different titles. You’re constantly encouraged to learn and as a result, you grow.”
She would tell any potential employee to “be prepared to be amazed. You’re not just a number here. You’re an essential part of the growth of this company. Your opinion, growth, and creativity are acknowledged and appreciated.”
Sylvia is proud of the vast amount of opportunities she has had. She appreciates that education and experience have allowed her to flow to different positions in the company. She is inspired and encouraged to learn more, be creative and have fun doing it. “The owner knows you personally and we interact as a family. We’re very cohesive and that fundamentally important in a growing business.”
In her free time, Sylvia enjoys painting and wine tasting.
