Appointment Center Representative

The ideal candidate will desire to make a career of great Call Center Representative work. We do NOT do cold calls. We invest in marketing to generate prospective customers (leads) for our sales team. Leads call us or contact us through the internet inquiring about a free quote for our services, which we give during an in-home appointment. We greatly value this role because it is influential in customers’ perception of our company, the outcomes of our lead-generation investments, and other departments’ ability to succeed. The Drying Company is a local, family-owned, Home Performance Contractor that has been serving Greater Richmond and Hampton Roads since 2002. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for positive, friendly, and driven individuals to join our team. We are looking for individuals with a high level of integrity who take pride in their work and are always willing to learn.

The Drying Company serves homeowners from Greater Richmond through Williamsburg and into Virginia Beach, VA, and currently has 8 Home Performance Advisors providing estimates and 30+ installation professionals installing solutions for our homeowners every day (Monday – Friday). Our Appointment Center is the first contact all our clients have with our business. Whether they are calling to schedule a free estimate or reach another department, the friendly, kind, professional, individuals in our Appointment Center greet them.

  • Convert inbound calls into appointments
  • Convert outbound calls into appointments (web inquiries & cancellations)
  • Assemble and mail informational packets and postcards
  • Report positive reviews & occasional complaints
  • Verify and update Customer Profiles as needed
  • Be able to promptly respond and communicate via email with customers and staff members
  • Accurately schedule appointments
  • Accurately document call activity, call logs, and any notes as needed in i360 a salesforce-based CRM
  • Independent work in a collaborative environment to meet goals and or any assigned objectives.
  • Call Live leads in the required time frame
  • Transfer calls to the appropriate person or takes a message
  • Accurately describe our services and problems we solve

·         Performs other duties as assigned.


  • 1 year of Call center work or equivalent (required)
  • Customer service 2 years or more (Preferred)
  • Articulate & friendly verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer & software skills

·         Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills

·         Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers

·         organized and attention to detail

  • Able to work Mon-Fri 
  • Ability to multitask
  • Meet Attendance And performance expectations
  • Represent the company in a professional, polite, and friendly manner
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment

·         Pre-employment drug screen


Working Conditions

·         Must be able to sit for long periods of time

·         Most of the day will be spent on the phone and computer


Physical Requirements

·         Carrying, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, sitting, standing, stooping, talking, and walking.
