Steve Tetreault, Owner and President

Steve is the Owner, President, and Manager of The Drying Co. and ThermalTec Insulation.

With over 20 years of experience in the insulation and moisture protection fields, Steve has personally been involved in thousands of home energy improvements.

Through Steves extensive involvement in building science training, he has acquired a reputation as one of the areas leaders in energy efficient building techniques throughout Williamsburg, Newport News, New Kent County and Richmond.

In addition to managing The Drying Co., Steve is also actively involved in green building advancements. He is a certified HERS Rater for Energy Star, a Certified Technical Manager for Earth Craft Virginia, and a Certified Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analyst.

Joe Hogge, Commercial Insulation and Waterproofing Advisor

Joe has over 9 years of experience in the insulation and waterproofing industry.

He holds many certifications in building science, including certifications for cellulose and foam insulation, and waterproofing.

Joe's experience extends to numerous commercial and residential products and applications, and he excels in providing outstanding service to his clients.

Tony Williams, Weatherization, Crawl Space Moisture Control and Waterproofing Advisor

Tony brings over 10 years of experience in the home building industry to The Drying Company.

He is extensively trained and experienced in building performance and in identifying building failures.

His ability to find and remedy issues regarding heat loss/gain and moisture problems has saved clients of Thermal Tec and The Drying Company thousands of dollars.

Tony holds many certifications and is well-known for his outstanding customer service.

Rudy Sheets, Weatherization, Crawl Space Moisture Control and Waterproofing Advisor

Rudy is a retired civil servant of 30 years. He holds a B.S. in Public Safety Management from Virginia Commonwealth University, and he signifies the epitomy of the term "customer service."

Rudy has been a valued member of The Drying Co.and ThermalTec sales team since March of 2010.

He has proven himself to be exceptionally knowledgeable and professional in the areas of residential insulation, weatherization, moisture control, and crawl space encapsulation.

Rudy enjoys spending his free time with his kids and is an active member of the community.

Matt Killam, Weatherization, Insulation, and Crawl Space Moisture Control Advisor

Matt brings over 5 years of experience in the home building industry to The Drying Company.

His insulation and weatherization product training is an asset to The Drying Company's customers.

Matt makes sure that the customers' needs are his primary focus in every situation, and takes pride in knowing that his clients are well-informed and understand every option that he has provided them.

Kevin Ries, Operations Manager

Kevin has been involved in the home building industry for over 15 years, with experience ranging from superintendent to estimator.

He is a Certified RESNET HERS Rater, and is well-trained in conducting energy analyses on homes and buildings.

Kevin is also a Certified Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analyst.

Tyler S. Tetreault, Home Energy Rater

Tyler has over two years’ experience as a home energy performance rater. He is also an Earth Craft Technical Advisor.

Tyler attends Thomas Nelson Community College while working for The Drying Company full time.

Melonie Thompson, Office Manager

Melonie is the behind-the-scenes "glue" that holds our organization together.

She handles everything from Human Resource responsibilities to accounting, and just about everything in between.

When things get incredibly busy, she's even gone out into the field to help install insulation.

Melonie has been with the company for many years and is a valued asset to the team.
